Joe Tawfik has over 25 years of business, technology, project management and senior management experience. He has been a Board Director since 1996 and has served on several Boards over this period. He has been actively involved in the BPO and human capital industry in Australia for the past decade in both a hands-on and a strategic capacity.
Joe has been involved in every facet of the industry including consultancy, sales, operations, consulting, and strategic development for a multitude of public listed companies. Joe has extensive start-up (seven start-ups) experience and has built a reputation for delivering complicated projects on time and on budget. Growing young businesses and turning around troubled businesses is his forte. Joe founded, co-owned, and was Managing Director of Contact 1-2-1, a multi-media BPO with centres in Sydney, Adelaide and the Gold Coast. Joe led multiple complex projects for companies such as ING, ANZ, Air France/KLM Airlines (loyalty program), SOCOG, Accor (loyalty program) and Mitsubishi Motors. He grew the business to 300 staff with $15.5M revenues in 6 years.
Joe has successfully owned his own consulting and services business and understands the multi-faceted issues currently faced by mid to large sized organisations. He has a solid background in establishing new enterprises and projects for clients. Joe has completed four years of a Doctorate in Business Administration. In addition, Joe holds a BA(Hons.) with a major in Communications from the University of Sydney.
